How to Reset Windows Administrator password by using Hiren Boot CD
Now a day's i got many Calls regarding Forgot Administrator Password so i plan to post same problem solution, hope this solution may help you tooo.below solution is for education purpose only.prior to explaining the solution download "Hiren Boot CD" 10.1 from below official http://www.hirensbootcd.org/hbcd-v101/
I'm going to assume you've burned your Hiren's 10.1 CD. To reset the admin password:
1. Boot the CD.
Select "Start Boot CD" from the menu.
2. "Password and Registry Tools", hit enter.
3. "Active Password Changer", hit enter.
4. The program "Active Password Changer" will start. Hit "1" then hit Enter.
5. Press Enter again.
6. Select Partition by os load....
(or whatever line it happens to be on)
7. "0 \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\sam" Should come up, with a message "There is one MS SAM database detected. Press Enter to continue..." - Go ahead and hit "Enter".
8. "Administrator" should be on line 0. Press "0" (or whatever line it happens to be on). Hit Enter.
9. Make sure there is an "X" in the checkbox for "Clear this User's password". Hit "Y".
10. The next prompt should say "User's attributes has been successfully changed. (Press any key). Go ahead and press any key.
11. Hit ESC, ESC, ESC, then 3, then enter. Reboot.
